AUCKLAND TOURNAMENT. , THE OPENING DAY'S PLAY. COMPETITIONS WELL ADVANCED. ] The Auckland bowling centre's annual Easter tournament opened yes-terday. Fine ! weather except for a light shower in the . morning made good progress possible and j the three competitions were carried on according to programme. The greens were rather heavy and a tricky wind blew throughout -the day. ; In the lias-ter fours three rounds were , completed and a further three will be [ decided to-day, play commencing at nine . | o'clock on the various greens.
