ELECTRICITY BILL.
LABOUR AMENDMENT. REJECTION BY COMMONS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 9.5 p.m.) LONDON. March 30. The House of Commons to-day negatived the Labour amendment in favour of the rejection of the Electricity Bill, and urging the nationalisation of the industry, bv 325 votes to 127.
The bill was read a second time after the rejection of a proposal to refer it to a select committee. On this amendment the Labour members voted with the Ministry.
