STUDENT KILLED.
DEMONSTRATION IN PARIS. POLICEMAN'S HEAVY FIST. Times. LONDON. March 30. The Paris correspondent of the Times states that after the announcement of the result of the by-election in which two Communists were victorious 2000 students marched to the Ministry of the Interior shouting: "Hang Malvy " (referring to the Minister of that department). The police quelled the demonstration. During the melee a student died as a result, of a blow between the eyes struck by a policeman with his fist. SCENE IN THE CHAMBER. HERRIOT KISSES MALVY. PARIS, March 25. When M. Malvy, the new Minister of t'ae Interior returned to the Chamber of Deputies after he had fainted during an excited debate, the warmth of tho kiss of M. Herriot, President of the Chamber, overcame him, and ho fainted again. He was carried out of the Chamber. The calumniations against M. Malvy saved M. Briand from certain defeat in the' confidence vote. The Lefts were so inflamed that they abandoned their decision to abstain from voting.
