ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

There was again a heavy entry of most classes of stock at Addington market today, btit on account of tho holidays and tho suspension of killing operations at the abattoirs tho demand from butchers was restricted and there was a tendency toward easier values. Store Sheep.—Another heavy entry. North Island owes predominated, and were down from Is to 2s a head on last week's rates. For forward lambs there was very brisk competition at an advance on late rates, ewe bxmbs being in very keen demand. Rape lambs brought from 22s to 255; medium lana'bs, 19s 6d to 21s f>d; small lambs, 17s Cd to 19s; inferior lambs, ],=# to 17s; good halfbred ewe lambs to 28s 9d; crossbred ewe lambs. 23s 6d to 255; two-toothed threequarterbred ewes, 29s to 325; cull twotoothed three-quarterbred ewes, 24s to 275; good four, six and eight-toothed Roraney owes, 32s to 37s lid; ordinary four, six and eight-toothed crossbred owes, 25s to 295; low conditioned four, six and eight-toothed crossbred ewes, 21s to 245; four and five-year-old crossbred ewes, 20s to 22b; four and fivet-year-old crossbred ewes (local). 24a to 295; four arid live-year-old halfbred ewes, 25s to 30s: failing mouthed halfbred ewes, 19s fid to 23s 9d; good forward four, six and eiaht-toothed halfbred wethers. 27s to 28s 10.1; four, six and eight-toothed wethers, 23s fid to 25s 9d; two-tooth halfbred wethers. 21s to 255; two-tooth crossbred wethers, 22s 6d to 245.

Fat Lambs.—There was a small entry of 2500 head and the maximum of export values was realised. Prime medium-weight lambs made a shade ovov lOd per lb. Extra prime brought from 32s fid to 34s Id; prime heavy, 29s fid to 325; medium, 28s to 30s; light and inferior. 25s fid to 27s fid. Fat Sheep.—The market opened .-J. an advance on last week, but onco the butchers' requirements were met, the competition eased. Exporters bought freely over tho Inter stages of the sale when values were hack by Is fid a head. Extra prime wethers sold up to 39s 4<l; prime wethers, 32s to 355; medium wethers, 28s fid to 31s fid; light wethers, 25s fid to 28s; extra, prime ewes to 30s 4d; prime ewes, 24s fid to 28s; medium owes, 21s to 245; light eww, 17s fid to 20s; aged ewes, 13s to 17s.

Fat Cattle.—A smaller entry of 435 head. Generally there was an easing of up to'2os per head for all classes. except prime medium-weights. A North Island line of 55 averaged .£l2 17n fid. Beat beef made 37s fid to 41s per 1001b.; heavy, 34s fid to 37h: medium quality, 31s fid to 345; rough. 22s fid to 27s fid: extra heavy steers to £lB 7s fid; heavy steers. £l7 10s to £'l7; prime medium-weight steers, £l4 to £lfi Jss: medium quality steers, £9 10s to £l3; light steers. £6 to £9 ss; extra primo heifers, to £ll 17s Gel; prime heifers. £fl sfl to £lO 10s: ordinary heifers, £6 to £8; light heifers, £4 to £5 15s; extra prime cows, to £ls 12a fid: prime cows, £7 5s lo £9 IBs; medium rows. £5 10s to £7; light cows, £4 5s to £% sa: rough cows, £3 12s fid to £4 ss.
