The. Kartisi left Portland 011 Wednesday evening for New Plymouth, Wellington and Lyttelton.

The Kaimanawa is expected to reach Auck land to-day from Westport. After putting out her cargo of coal she will return to Westport. The Poolta is expected to leave Greymouth to-morrow with a carso of coal for Auckland.

THE WAIPORL The Waipori was coaling H.M.A.S. Adelaide in the stream yesterday. She is to berth at the King's Wharf to put cut, the remainder of her cargo of coal. Cable advice has been received to the eftoct. that the Federal steamer Tekoa, which 'eft Liverpool on February 28, arrived at Colon on Tuesday. The vessel is duo here on April 5. THE KOREAN PRINCE. Advico has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the steamer Korean Prince, which left St. John on February 20, cleared Newport News tin Tuesday for Auckland, Wellington and Lytic! ton. Tho vessel as due here on Api u" b. THE KURNALPI IN PORT. The steamer Kurnalpi arrived yesterday morning conclusion of a threo weeks' trip to Northern ports. She berthed at the King's Wharf. The vessol worked all the Northern ports and proceeded down the West Coast as far us Onehunga. All kinds of weather were experienced, including the galein which the Karu foundered near Cape Maria van Diemen. At the time, tho Kurnalpi was sheltering at North Cape. THE CUMBERLAND TO SAIL. . The Federal Line steamer Cumberland, which has been discharging cargo from West of_ England ports at the Queen's Wharf, is expected to sail at noon to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to put out the remainder. MARA MA SAILS AT 3 P.M. The departure from the Prince's Wharf of tho Union Company's intercolonial steamer Marama, with passengers, mails and cargo lor Sydney, has been fixed for 3 p.m. to-day. She is due at the Australian port on Tuesday. ARGYLLSHIRE LOADING. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Argyllshire arrived at Gisborne on luesday from Sydney to commence loading for London. Tho vessel will leave Gisborne to-day, for Wanganui, Timaru, Bluff. 1 ort Chalmers and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on April 10, and will sail finally from there on April 15 for Loudon. PORT CHALMERS FOR LONDON. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Chalmers sailed from Wellington on Wednesday evening for London, via Montevideo. She took the following passengers:—Mesdames F. D. Pinfold, J. G. Dennistoun and child. Messrs. R. C. Smith, R. O. C. Marks. J. G. Dennistoun, Dr. F. D. Pinfold, of Hamilton, accompanied the vessel as ship's surgeon. THE CAMBRIDGE. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Cambridge, which has been loading at \\ aikokopu. was to leave there yesterday ior Gisborne and Tokomaru Bay to fill up. She is now timed to sail finally from Tokomarn Bay on Mondav for Lndon, via Panama. THE WAIMANA'S ARRIVAL. The Shaw, Savi'l and Albion Line steamer Waimana, 10,389 tons. Captain C. M. Andrews, arrived from London and Southampton yesterday morning and berthed at the Prince's Wharf shortly after noon. _ She landed 810 third-class passengers, including a large number of nominated immigrants. The vessel left Southampton on February 4. Rough weather marked the opening days of the voyage and delayed the passage to Panama by two days. The voyagel across the Pacific, however, was com'>d in fine weather. Two members of the ship's crew died on the voyage, A. E. Edwards, assistant cook, and W. Corbett, assistant butcher. The deaths were attributed to pneumonia and septicaemia respectively. tho first occurring on February 26 and the latter last Saturday. _An exciting incident occurred in the Caribbean Sea. when a passenger fell overboard and was rescued after being in the water about three-quarters of an hour. A commencement was made yesterday with the discharge of about 5000 tons of basic slag. The whole of this cargo is for Auckland. On completion of discharge the vessel will take in local cargo for England and vill sail in a week's time for Southern ports to complete. Captain Andrews has with him the following officers:—First.
