Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Takapuna (hereinafter referred to as the Council), to apply to the Honourable the Minister of Internal Affairs for his approval of the terms of an Agreement to purchase certain lands in Northcote Road in the Borough of Takapuna. The land proposed to be acciuired is situated in Northcote Road in the Borough of Takapuna and contains 2 acres and 2 roods and comprises Lots 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, and 167, of portion of Allotment 89 of- the Parish of Takapuna. Tho present owners are Messrs. Ewen William Alison and Ernest Alison and the purchase price of the land is the sum of £4250, which it is proposed to pay as follows:—The sum of £250 as a deposit and the balance of £4OOO by half-yearly payments of £SOO each; the Council to have the right to pay off the balance of purchase money in one sum at any time on giving one month's written notice to the Vendors. Interest is payable on the balance of purchase money at the rate of 6 per cent. The land contains scoria deposits and the Council desires to acquire same for the purpose of making use of the scoria.
