SYDNEY HEAT WAVE.
BUSH ABLAZE IN SUBURBS.
SERIOUS DAMAGE PREVENTED.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 10.5 p.m.) z SYDNEY, Feo. 17. The City of Sydney is still in the throes of a, heat wave. The maximum temperature to-day was 105 degrees. The intense heat set the bush ablaze in all the outlying suburbs, but desperate efforts by fire-fighters prevented serious damage being done.
