A HUSBAND'S INTEREST.

PROPERTY IN WHFE'S NAME. DEFINITION BY THE COURT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Judgment was given in the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Alpers this morning in a civil action brought by John Reginald Saptos against his wife, Elsie May Santos, asking for a definition of his interest in properties standing in his wife's name. In the course of his judgment, His Honor said both parties worked> the wife keeping a number of boarders. The husband was an honest, hard-working and fair-minded man, but apparently the pair could not agree. In view of all the circumstances the husband was entitled to a declaration that he had an interest in the properties standing in his wife's name. They lived cheaply on account of the number of boarders; and something must have been saved from, his salary of £5 a week. The Judge held that justice would be done if he made a declaration that the properties standing in the wife's name were being held in trust by her for herself and her husband, _ and that the husband's interest is £250. The wife might find it advisable to raise money on mortgage and quit the whole business.
