EVENTS IN HUNGARY.

PREMIER MAY RESIGN. BANKNOTE SCANDAL SEQUEL. MONARCHIST MOVEMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received 7.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON. Feb. 16. Reports have reached London predicting the imminent resignation of the Premier of Hungary, Count Bethlen, because none of the members of the Cabinet, and not even the Regent. Admiral Horthy, will support the investigation of the forged bank-notes scandal. The diplomatic correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says a recent pronouncement by the Little Entente, to the effect that it would not oppose the solection of a monarch for Hungary provided that he was not a member of the Hapsbuirg family, is almost an inducement to Admiral Horthy to proclaim himself King.

It is a moot point, however, whether he would prove more harmless than the former archdukes in relation to the secession States.
