SERIES OF ACCIDENTS.

FALL FROM A VERANDAH. DROP TO CONCRETE PATH, While Mr. Frederick Dreffin, 6ingle, aged 22, of 41, Howo Street, was sitting on the railing of a verandah at 8 o'clock last evening he lost his balance and fell a distance of 10ft. on to a concrete path. He was admitted to the hospital suffering from concussion of the brain. His; condition is not regarded as serious. Mr. William Vipond, married, residing in Busby Stroot, Avondale South, sustained injuries to the right leg yesterday afternoon while moving a portable engine used in drainage work at Campbell Eoad, One Tree Hill. He slipped and fell, one wheel of the engine passing over his leg.

A man, aged 19, of 33, Allen Road, Grey Lynn, slipped and fell while walking across the open floor-joists of a building on which he was working as a carpenter. He received injuries to the chest.

The condition of Mr. George Robinson, of 29, Khyber Pass Road, who sustained very severe injuries through being struck by a motor-van in Manukau Road, Parnell, on Monday afternoon, was reported early this morning to bo still serious.
