MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.

New Walotahi.—The crosscut for the Waio-tahi-C-ambria reef has been extended 7ft. The solid country continues to rise as the face advances, and from a survey just made, showing the position of the face at the surface, higher ground should soon be met with. The face is now 29ft. beyond the line of the reef on the surface, so it seems as though the reef had been displaced to the south instead of north as expected. Kuranui.—The drive west on Ross reef has been extended 9ft., making a total of 165 ft. from tho side of the main crosscut. The reef here averages Bin. wide and still looks well, carrying nico mineral and flint. Gold is seen by dish-washing but no gold was seen in the stone. As we are in a splendid clmb of country gold should be seen at any time. The rise on Ross reef from the drive west has been risen 4ft., niakinii a total of 15ft. The reef here averages Clin, wide and aslo carries nico mineral, and gold is seen by dish washing, but no gold has been seen in tho atone. The drive east on Ross reef has been extended 10ft., making a total of 183 ft. from the side of the main crosscut. The Teef here is still split up into stringers, but tho country rock 13 improving, being firmer and of a better class for gold. The drive north on cross leader hns been extended Bft., making a total of 140 ft. The reef hero averages Bin. wide and looks very well, Ifeiiig a nice compact leader, and gives fair prospects of gold by dish washing, but no gold was seen in the stone. Zeehan.-—Tho west crosscut was advanced lift., leaving -approximately 22ft. to go to cut the- reef. The country through which we are driving is all that could be desired, and a 2in. Btringer carrying copper pyrites and a little _ galena was passed through. Tho rise is now up 16ft. from the drive and the reef is 7ft. wide and no change from the last report.
