It was decided to receive deputations at the next meeting of th(j board in committee. Permission was given to a firm of'consulting engineers to drive test piles in the Tamakt River, near Ot&hubu, for the purpose of estimating the cost of the proposed bridge across the Tamakj. Tha board's engineer stipulated that the work should be temporary and should not restrict the waterway. The board's solicitors reported regarding the exchange of land batwesn the board and the City Council, that, as tha portion of the road at the King's Wharf approach proposed to be closed adioiitied the sea, the exchange coule!
