Senor Carlos Voiles and Senor Blanchard, the two Argentine horticultural experts appointed by the Argentine Government to ascertain whether New Zealand is clear of the fruit fly, arrived in Wellington to-day by the Tainui and wore mot by Mr. J. A. Campbell, director of the horticultural division, and Senor Humberton Didone, Consul-General for Argentina. During the morning a call was maxle upon the Hon. 0. J, Hawken, Minister o! Agriculture, and in the evening a dinner was given in honour" of the j- visitors.

Accompanied by Mr. Campbell, the visitors will leave lot Auckland to-morrow evening. In the North Island their tour of inspection will, embrace the Auckland {including Dargaville) arid Hawke's Bay districts and as much more of the country as possible will be covered. Senor Bidone, who previously advised his Government that there was no fruit fly in the Dominion, and upon whose advice the embargo of the Argentine Government on the importation of New Zealand fruit was lifted, stated to-day that if his report was confirmed New Zealand fruitgrowers should benefit considerably. Owing to climatic conditions the Argentina has experienced a bad fruit season and consequently there is an exceptionally good demand for imported fruit, ospectally New Zealand, which holds a high place on the Argentine market
