A GLASS DOOR BROKEN,

NOISE ATTRACTS PASSERS-BY.

'f-'e crash of falling glass in Customs Bti -. vt West at half-past eleven last evening attracted the attention of pas3ers-by ■ad it was found the glass door of a confectionery shop in Palmerston Buildings had been broken. Immediately after the crash a bystander saw a man hasten out of the door of the •hop and go up Customs Street. He returned! soon, afterwards and watered tha shop through tha broken door., Constable Hall w&3 called and arrested an elderly man in tha shop. His pockets were hall of sweets.
