RETENTION OF IDENTITY. NO ALLIANCE WITH LABOUR. (Received 5.5 p.m.) £s un- LONDON. Jan. 24. The Earl of Oxford and Asquith, speaking at Hull, said the rumour of an alliance between the Liberals and labour Party was a mere house of cards, compounded in ignorance. The Liberals were determined to retain their identity and independence.
