THROWN UNDER A CART.
KUMEU RESIDENT INJURED.
A restive horse was responsible for a serious accident to a well-known Kumeu resident, Mr. O. E. Davis. He was holding the head of a horse attached to a cart into which pigs were being loaded, when he tripped over a small tree. The horse trampled upon him arid one wheel of the vehicle went over his back, with tho result that two ribs were broken and his back severely skinned. Ho will be confined to his bed for about a month.
