THE ORIGINAL TITLE PAGE. When a copy of the rare first edition of ** Robinson Crnsoe" comes into the market, dealers and collectors from all parts bid for it. Although it is now generally known as Robinson Crusoe," its original title-page is a very lengthy one, and reads as follows: " Tho Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, of iTork. Mariner: Who lived Eight and Twenty Years all alone in an uninhabited Island on the Coast of America, near the Mouth of the Great River Oroonoquei; Having been cast on Shore by Shipwreck, wherein all the Men perished but himself. With an Account how he was at last as strangely delivered by Pyrates. Written by Himself. London; Printed by W. Taylor at the Ship in Pater-Nostcr Row.
