THE FREEZING SEASON.
FEILDING WORKS BUSY. [BX TELEGIUPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WANGANUI Thursday. The Feilding Farmers' Freezing Company is experiencing a very busy time, and an almost full killing board is handling with expedition thousands of sheep coming forward. An unsettled spring suggested doubtful drafting, but with the warmer weather the lambs ,in the district have put on condition remarkably well. Although the average weight is slightly under thai, of last season the quality of the lamb is excellent. Thirty-four hundred lambs and grown sheep are being killed daily, and with the expected ar rival of more butchers it is hoped to reach the tally of 4000 daily. Large .drafts are due from the Taihape district later in the month. These will help to swell the killings in Feilding.
