THE GREY LYNN CLUB. A full-rink tourney will be held by the Grey Lynn Bowling Club on Friday, January 20. A silver cup and other trophies will be presented to tho leading teams. TE AROHA TOURNAMENT. THE FINAL WON BY CLAYIS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AROHA, Tuesday. The second semi-final in the bowling tournament was played this morning between Hamilton (Paeroa) and Clavis (Ngaruawahia). Hamilton led to the sixth head. _At the tenth head Clavis was seven points ahead. Hamilton failed to reduce the lead and resigned at the twentieth head, Clavis winning 28—16. The final this afternoon between Clavis and Robinson (Hikutaia) was a very close game throughout. At tho twentieth head tho score stood 18 all. Robinson was three down on the last head and lost. The winning rink, Ngaruawahia, consisted of Johnson, McFarlane, Gary and Clavis. Tho Hikutaia players were Alley, Valentino, Kinden and hobinson. Mr. F. W. Bliss, president of the Te Aroha Club, congratulated the winners and also the runners-up for (the splendid bowls they played throughout tho tournament. THE BRITISH VISITORS. GAMES AT WANGANUI. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WANGANUI, Tuesday. The British bowlers arrived this afternoon and were accorded a civic reception. They afterwards played a match against eight, rinks from country clubs and won by 177 points to 162. They will meet a team from the Wanganui clubs to-morrow.
