i LOSS TO THE THEATRES. LONDON. Dec. 18. , In giving evidence, at the broadcasting inquiry, a representative of the London theatres said that the margin between revenue and expenditure was very narrow. Broadcasting, it was stated, tended to keep people at home and might produce a loss. Recently a big wireless concert resulted in the theatres and music halls losing £SOOO in a night.
