A pleasant ceremony took place on New Year's Eve in Ward 3 at the Auckland Hospital, when the patients preset ted Sister Innis, who is resigning from the staff after seven years' service with an afternoon tea stand anrl

a fruit bowl. In making the presentation, Mr. C. A. Derrick, the oldest inmate of the ward, said he fount! it impossible to express in mere words the appreciation of Sister Innis' service felt by those under her care. He paid a high 'tribute to her untiring zeal, patience anil sympathy. On behalf of all lie extended to her good wishes for tho new year. Sister Innis was also given an afternoon by the medical staff, sisters and nurses, and was the recipient of (several valuably presents.
