OUTBREAKS OF FIRE.

[BY, TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] •; ; .WAIHI,, Monday. • ; A six-roomed dwelling in Waitete Road, owned and occupied by Mr. James Barraclough, was totally destroyed by fire on Saturday evening, together with the whole of the contents. The fire had a strong hold before the alarm reached the brigade, and by the time the firemen reached the scene practically everything had gone. Mr. Barraclough is at a loss to account for the outbreak. A small fire in an op on fireplace in the early part of the day appeared to have burned itself out about two o'clock in the afternoon and everything seemed perfectly safe when the family left to attend the pictures. The building was insured with the South British; Company for £l5O and tha furniture and effects for a similar amount with the State Fire Office. FARMHOUSE DESTROYED, FAMILY ABSENT AT TIME. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COMIESPONDENT. 1 TAUMARUNTJI. Monday. A five-roomed residence owned and occupied by Mr. A. H. Barker, Hikumutu, was completely destroyed by fire on Sun. day afternoon. DUNEDIN CHINA WAREHOUSE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Monday. Fire broke out in a china warehouse in Maclaggan Street this evening, owned by Messrs. Langley and Son. The outbreak was confined to the packing room, where considerable damage was done.
