MAN FELLED WITH BOTTLES. BRUTAL ASSAULT AND ROBBERY. a. tiD'l N.Z. HOBAHT. Jan J. Patrick King, aged 58 years, was found lying in a street near tho waterfront. He died later in hospital. He was evidently the victim of a brutal assault. His pockets were rifled. It is thought by tho police that King was attacked by two parsons, felled with bottles and his skull fractured. The police characterise the crime as ono of the most brutal murders that has ever occurred in Hobart.
