BIG GAME FISHING.
THE GROUNDS AT RUSSELL. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] RUSSELL, Saturday. The first mako shcrk of the season was caught on road and line by Mr. J. J. Mackay, of Ponsonby, at Cape Brett. The launch was the Lady Joan, and the weight of the shark 1201b. Swordfish were seen. A hammer-head shark was caught on a rod line by Mr. B. Scaunell, of Napier. Its weight was 3321b.
