ASSASSINATION IN CHINA. SHOOTING OF A GENERAL, A. and N.Z. PEKING, Dec. 30. General Hsu-shu-tseng has been assassinated. He left Peking with the object of seeing Sun-cbuan Fang and other military leaders. According to the reports Lu Cheng Wu, son of General Lu Chien Chang, whom Hsu-shu-tseii£ iuViieu to a banquet at Tientsin in 1918 and shot with his own revolver, shot Hsu-shu-tseng when the tram reached Lang-Fang.
