North Island motorists who are touring a,-, far as the Dunedin Exhibition are advised to book accommodation for their vehicles if shipping to Lytteiton, an space Is more limited than on the Wellington' Kelson and Wellington-Picton services. The freight rates to Lytteiton are the Same as those to Pic ton. The return trip h'bat'e of 25 per cent, is interchangeable, So that drivers may go South via Picton f .nd return via Lytteiton. The Pic ton route i • proving more popular than the trip via Kelson. [f going through N'elson, it is necessary !o connect, with the West Coast Bond and fit.her cross Arthur's Pass, or rail through the Otira Tunnel to Christchurch. The passenger fare from Wellington to ! J icton is £l, single. Car freight is ..£2 10s up to 240 cubic feet for one way. An increase of 10s is made for every extra lon, or 40 cubic feet. A Ford type car tosts £3 10s, and a Dodge £4 10s. The passenger fare from Wellington to Kelson is £1 ss„ The freight rates for tars are £3 10s up to 320 cubic feet, and Loi for every extra 40 cubic feet.
