A BAG FOR THE BEACH.

To make a waterproof bag for the beach place half a yard of mackintosh on half a yard of floral material, says an exchange. Fold in half, having the mackintosh inside. About five inches from tho top fold back over tho material. Stitch tho fold l£in. wide and cut the remainder into a fringe. Turn inside-out and stitch tho sides down. Leave an opening at the top of the sides to give plenty of room to open. Put two smooth sticks through the fold at the top. Allow two yards of cord for handles. Sew the cord ends into the form of large buttons and place them on both sides at each end of the bag. This makes an ideal hag for carrying a wet bathing gown and towel.
