FOR THE CHILDREN.

"SANTA-CLAtTS SLEIGH."

BY ELSIE If. MORTOK.

It is now five days after Christmas, and half-a-dozen parcels, marked for the Sleigh, have jnst been handed in. No doubt they have been field up in the Christmas rush, for thev all came from a long distance, but they will meet with a welcome from some of the children to whom Santa has not bsen over-generous. A. number of parcels alio came to hand just before Christmas Day, and these will bo acknowledged noxt week. If there are any toys left over, Nurse will keep them for special cases, for children become sick all the year round, and there will be *sveary hours to fill in between this and nexu Christmas. There is a long list of gifts to acknowledge, for parcels simply poured into the Herald Office during Christmas week.
