PRESENTATIONS.

A presentation of a wallet of bank notes and a canteen of cutlery was made to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gebbie at the Church of Christ, Ponsonby, last evening. Mr. Gebbie, who is a preacher at the church, is leaving for Australia shortly with Mrs. Gebbie. There was a large gathering of friends, Mr. G. Moyle presiding. Eulogistic references to the guests were made by various speakers and Mr. C. D. Collier made the presentation. A number oi musical items were greatly appreciated. The affectionate regard in which the vicar of St. Paul's Anglican Church,, the Rev. C. A. B. Watson, is held .was demonstrated on Tuesday evening when he was entertained at an "At Home' ik the parish hall. There was a large attendance of friends and parishioners. M r - A. J. Stratford, vicar's warden, on behalf of parishioners, presented Mr. Watson with dinner and tea sets and so®« choice naperv. Mrs. Watson also" received a small mark of esteem. Mr. Stratford emphasised the happy relations between priest and congregation which had continued throughout Mr. tenure of the vicarage. Mr. Watson acknowledged the gifts and the loyalty ot chose who gave them. He was particularly hnppv that there should be such unanimity iu the parish. Past and present executive members of the Auckland Returned _ Soldiers Association gathered at the residence o the president, Mr. S. Austin Carr, Raft: furly Road, last evening, for the purpose of making presentations of a framed illuminated address to Mr. E. W. Indei and a photograph of the original executive committee to M,r. F. M. Cox in recognition of their services as executive officers of the association.
