A FAREWELL LUNCHEON. A farewell luncheon was tendered yesterday by his fellow-officers of the Baptist Tabernacle to Mr. James Christie, who is leaving for Christchurch. The Rev. Joseph W. Kemp presided. The chairman and others expressed regret at the departure of Mr.' Christie, who had a praiseworthy worker in several departments. Mr. Christie replied. On Sunday afternoon, the men's meeting, of which Mr. Christie has been leader, presented him with six volumes of Dr. Alex. Whyte's Scripture biographies.
