HANGED FOE THEFT.
EXECUTIONS IN GREECE. FATE OF TWO COLONELS. LONDON. Dec. 1. Colonel Niarifopoulos, formerly chief of police at Salonika, and Colonel Drakatos were, sentenced to death for eml>ezzling public funds. They were hanged this morning oateido the city, says a message from Athens. Thirty thousand spectators were profoundly interested in the new method of execution, the present Government having introduced hanging instead of shooting, which had been the prescribed form for 15 years. Prior to 1910 the guillotine was used.
