MR. BALDWIN'S ESCAPE.
CAR SKIDS ON THE ICE. COLLISION WITH FARM CART. LONDON. Dec. 1. While the Prime Minister, accompanied by Mrs. Baldwin and their daughter Betty, was motoring from Chequers to London yesterday morning the car skidded on the ice-covered road and collided with a farm cart. The occupants of the limousine were uninjured, but its panels were torn and crumpled. Mr. Baldwin assisted the farmer to extricate his horse and cart from the ditch into which they had been overturned.
