COUNTY OFFICE PROPOSALS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WHANGAREI. Monday. ' A special committee of the Whangarei County Council after investigation has decided to recommend that the existing county office site and buildings be remodelled for commercial purposes, an architect to be engaged to prepare plans and estimates of cost on a basis of approximately £3OOO. With regard to the proposal to build new offices on the site of the present Roman Catholic Church it was resolved to recommend that the council build on the section purchased and that the new offices should face Rose Street, an architect to be engaged to prepare plans and an estimate of cost at about £SOOO. The most successful marksmen at the / Whangarei Rifle Club's week-end contest at the Otaika range at the 200 and 300 yds. ranges were:—J. Norris, 43, 39—82; Rlade Clark, 41, 39—80; E. A.
