TOMB IN SAHARA.
REMARKABLE DISCOVERY. RICHES OF THE ANCIENTS. Times. ALGIERS, -Dec. 6. Count Byron Khun de Prorok, director of the American excavations at Carthage, claims to have discovered under the desert sand near Tamanraset, in the Hoggar region of the Sahara, a great tomb, several thousand years old, containing the body of Queen Tinhanan. The body is said to be in a wonderful state of preservation. It is wearing a gold-jewelled diadem, precious stones, necklaces of gold and silver and bracelets. The sarcophagus is surrounded .by pieces ot wonderfully-carved wood furniture, all undamaged. A large number of other articles were also found, which will fill 46 cases. The tomb is said to resemble one at Blida, near Algiers, believed to have been the burial place of an ancient dynasty, Numidia, or perhaps Juba IL
