FIGHTING IN CHINA.
RUSSIAN BRIGADE TRAPPED. REAR AND FRONTAL ATTACKS. (Received 1.15 a.m.) Reuter. PEKING, Nov. 15. A despatch from Tsingtao reports that the mutinous Fifth Division at Shantung fired on a white Russian Brigade from the. rear while the Russians were endeavouring to stem an assault by the troops of the allied provinces ahead of them. The majority of 3000 mercenaries were killed, including a party in an armoured car. The wounded received no aid until fin reign medical men from Tsin Anfu daringly proceeded to the area where fighting was in progress.
