SUIT AGAINST BOXER.
CLAIM FOR 50,000 DOLLARS. Reuter. NEW YORK. Nov. G. Charles Lucas, a boxing manager, has brought an action in the Superior Court at Boston,against William Cook, the Australian boxer, for 50,000 dollars. Plaintiff alleges that Cook has broken a verbal contract, which he says was made in London on May 10, under the terms of which Cook ! agreed to employ him as his manager in j the United States and to pay him 33 per cent, of the proceeds of all bouts.
