BOMBAY MURDERERS.
NO GROUNDS OF APPEAL. PRIVY COUNCIL DECISION. Router LONDON. Nov. 6. In rejecting the appeal against their sentences of the Bombay murderers the Privy Council reiterated that in dealing with criminal appeals from the Dominions it did not act as a Court of Criminal Appeal. It could not interfere with the course of criminal proceedings unless it were shown that by a disregard of the forms of legal process, or by a violation of the principles of natural justice, substantial injustice had been done. The Privy Council found that these conditions did noc apply to the present case. The Privy Council last week refused the leave of appeal sought by the Indians who were sentenced to death for the minder of Hie rich Bombay merchant, Bawla, which occurred in the streets of that city early m January. The attack was made when the victim was driving with Mumtaz, the dancing girl, who had fled from the palace of the Maharajah of Indoro and of whom he had become the protector.
