It has been revealed that the American oceanographers on the recent cruise of the fleet took 32 water temperatures per ?nila between San Francisco and Australia. The data will be invaluable. The meteorologists expect soon to be .'.nlo to accurately predict Pacific fogs. Ibis would be a boon to all mariners.
