FARMING IN WAIKATO.
EFFEGT OF FINE WEATHER.
IMPROVED STOCK AND ROADS
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Snttirda?. The improvement in tho condition and appearance of the cattle yarded at the sales this week compared with what it was a month ago was quite remarkable. A month ago, with few exceptions, the store cattle looked rough, starved and miserable, but this. week, with few exceptions, they had shed their old coats, put on condition, and many of them only wanted a few weeks more good feed to make them fit for the butcher. Farmers reported that the country roads, many of which have been almost impassable during the latter part of the winter, are fast drying up, for which they are most thankful, as in some cases the ro? % '3 had been so bad that farme'rs had had great difficulty in getting their supply of manure to their farms.
