OBITUARY.
MRS. E. C. MORGAN. An old resident of Thames, Mrs. Morgan, relict of the late Mr. Eli Charles Morgan, passed away at the residence of her grand-daughter, Miss Menkes, Thames.--at the age of 87. A native of Dorsetshire. England, Mrs. Morgan carte to New Zealand along with her husband in the ship John Duncan in 1864. Alter a brief stay in Auckland she settled in Thames. She was a staunch member of the Church of Christ. She leaves a grown-up family of two sons and three daughters. There are 22 grand-children and seven great-grandchildren. • ' ■ ' ■ . ' : -K MRS. JAMES WARD. Mrs. James Ward, who died recently at Manawaru, at the age of 42, was !he eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs, W. Bowman, of 6. Albert Road, Devon port. The funeral was large, the cortege consisting of over 50 motor-cars and vehicles. Mrs. T*ard leaves a husband and five children, the eldest being 19 years of age, and the youngest Bin®.
