STATE CONTROL ISSUE.
ATTITUDE OF THE ALLIANCE. ELIMINATION DESIRED. [BY TELEGRAPH, —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Suturday. The standing committee of the New Zealand Alliance has passed a resolution in which it affirms that the time has come when the question of State control should be eliminated from the ballot-paper at the licensing poll, and that the people should be given un opportunity of stating their opinion on a straight-out two-issue ballot-paper, prohibition versus continuance.
