TWO STATE LOANS.
INTERNAL AND OVERSEAS. LONDON ISSUE NEXT YEARLOCAL PROSPECTS EXCELLENT. [BY TELEGUAJE-H. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCIIURCH. Thursday. A cablegram from London, referring to the decision of the New Zealand Governmant to borrow £5,000,000 for advances to settlers withir the Dominion, suggested a likelihood of a public works loan being floated in London in April or May. The Prime Minister, Hon. J. G. Coates, slated this morning that it was the intention of the Government to raise a loan on the London market after the close of the present financial year. Referring to the loan to be raised in the Dominion, he said the prospects were particularly favourable, and already considerable sums of money had been offered to the Treasury.
