BRITAIN AND MOSUL.
DISCUSSION OF POLICY. NO FRESH DECISION MADE, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 8. The Cabinet heard a statement made by the Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. L. C. M. S. Amery, regarding Mosul. The Daily Telegraph says Ministers expressed their views on the subjpet, but no fresh decision was arrived at. Ministerial circles claim that tho Govornment is not yet. pledged to any new commitment. The Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, is expected to emphasise this point in his speech at Brighton this evening. RECALLED FROM ENGLAND. IRAK AIR FORCE OFFICERS. (Received 12.5 a.m.) San. LONDON. Oct. 7. The Daily Mail says that officers belonging to the Irak Air Force, who are at present in England, have been suddenly recalled. All other leave has been cancelled. This indicates activity in the near future. TRUCULENCE OF TURKS. ANTI-BRITISH OUTBURST. Sun. CONSTANTINOPLE. Oct, 7. Units of the Turkish Army and Navy took part in the rejoicings indulged in on the anniversary of the evacuation of Constantinople by the Allies. A crowd demonstrated before the British Embassy, shouting, "We demand Mosul!"
