CRY OF COLOURED RACES.
EQUALITY WITH WHITES. RESENTFUL OF DOMINATION. SINISTER PREDICTION MADE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 7, Speaking with the authority of a former Governor of Bombay and Madras, Viscount Willingdfen, in an address to the Church Congress at Eastbourne, said he was convinced that the white peoples must treat the coloured races in a spirit of absolute equality. They must not dominate them, even for their own good. If the arrogant assertion by the white peoples of their racial superiority were altered, Lord Wrlingdon said, he was sure that what appeared to be an aggressive and unreasonable attitude on the part of the coloured peoples would be entirely changed. Mr. J. H. Oldham, secretary of the International Missionary Council, supported this view. He said that, although there was nothing in common between Islam and Bolshevism the leading Moslems were throwing in their lot with the Bolsheviks. This was solely because they felt the Bolshevins tre.itea them as equals. A solid white front would inevitably mean solid yellow, black and brown fronts. Out of these conditions there could be only one ending, namely—-war.
