BURGLARS AT WORK.
ENTRIES AT MORRINSVIL.LE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] MORRTNSYILLE. Thursday. Two burglaries were perpetrated at Morrinsville yesterday morning. The railway bookstall was entered, 16s and a purse being taken. Mr. Whitehead's fruit shop, almost opposite the police station, was also broken into, notes and silver and a suit of clothes being missing. Entrance was gained by breaking a back window. At the railway bookstall the lock had been picked. THEFT AT ASHSTTBTON. RAID ON SAMPLE ROOMS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] ASHBUETON. Thursday. A burglary was committed at the Somerset sample rooms last evening, wearing apparel, mostly women's wear, to the value of £4O or £SO being stolen. The property consisted of samples belonging to the Kaiapoi Woollen Company. As there is no indication how the entry was effected, it is surmised that a duplicate key was used.
