MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
GBEATKR SUPPORT NEEDED. A report by the treasurer that owing to the strike the funds were in a very precarious condition and practically no subscriptions were being received, was made to a meeting of the Missions to Seamen Committee. Unless greater support was accorded by the public it might b<a necessary to consider seriously closing down the mission. Although a small subsidy was received from London the life of the mission depended on local support
