ROWERS FOR MELBOURNE.
THE HAMILTON CLUB FOUR. DEPARTURE THIS MORNING. The Hamilton Rowing Club's senior four, B. Sandos, W. Bayley, G. St. Clair a«d S. Curtis, who won the last New Zealand championship, will leave Auckland for Sydney by the Ulimaroa this morning to represent New Zealand at the Melbourne Henley on October 24. Mr, W. Kane will accompany the team as manager. * The crew will be the third to visit Australia from New Zealand. About 1909, Blenheim and W mganui club fours made the trip with success, and last March a New Zealand eight, including Sandos, Bayley and St. Clair, won the championship. The Hamilton men will go overland to Melbourne, where they will have about a week in which to complete their training before meeting the best of the Australian crews that will be competing in the Stewards' Challenge Cup race. In this event they are likely to meet some strong crews. The Bundaberg Club, who won the champion four of the Mary River, Queensland, will be competing, also the West Australian Club crew, the Mannum Club, and possibly a crew will represent the Brisbane clubs, Merliein and Wcndouree, Banks, Mercantile, Bar won. Two crews from the Melbourne Club, one of which is the champion four that won so well on the Yarra last season., are also expected to compete.
