[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WELLINGTON, Thursday The Queensland Leagae football team which baa been on a tour of the South Island returned to Wellington this morulas and is leaving for Auckland to-night. Mr. B. Sunderland, one of the managers, said the tour had been a success and the hospitality extended to the team had been wonderful. There had not been one unpleasant incident to mar the pleasure of the tour in the South Island. Regarding the outlook for the game Mr, Sunderland said he had no doubt whatever that the game was firmly established in three leading centres and was already on such a good footing that other centres would link Up as the game became more firmly established. In the early period of the League game in both Australia and New Zealand the ground difficulty was always the first that had to be overcome. Now that Christchurch and Dunedin each had a ground, _ as in Auckland, it was certain that definite progress would be made. Another centre. Tiinaru, was likely to be a successful one next year. It only remained for the Leagues in Australia and New Zealand to find means of developing the code in Wellington to complete the link of big centres. Something •definite would be done with regard to Wellington. before the 1926 season opened.
