PEDIGREE BULL SALE.
PRICES AT CLAUDELANDS. [CI TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON. Wednenday Pedigree bulls to the number of 2.% were submitted at the combined breeders' pedigree bull sale at Claudelands to-da\. The three auctioneering firms operating in Hamilton conducted the sale. The entries were not so large as last year, and owing to the unfavourable spring weather and the shortage of feed many of the. bulls were not m good condition. Good quality Jerseys were in keen demand, but the poorer sorts _ were not sought after. The highest price of the sale was paid by Mr. H. Sheffield, of Helensville, for a bull offered by Mr. I. Church, of Te Rapa, The best of the others realised from 30gns to 45gns., while poorer quality animals made from, 16izns. to 20gns. There was a good entry of Shorthorns and excellent prices were obtained. The top price was 36gns., paid by Mrs. M. H. Brady, of Te Arolia, for the Hon. John Fisher's bull Pukerimu Laddie. A consignment of five bulls offered on behalf of Mr. John Fisher made 31gns., while a consignment, of eight submitted by Mr. Robert Fisher, of Cambridge, averaged lEHgns. Five bulls sold by Messrs. Robinson Bros., of Paterangi, ren lised 27gns. Friesiarts were not in demand. The best made from 16gns. to 21gns. There was a very small entry of Avrshires, which realised from Bgns. to lOgns.
