Salmon, S.M., Ernest Smith was charged with ming obscene in a restaurant while under the influence of liquor. He was sentenced to 2o days' imprisonment. Charged with driving a car in a manner dangerous to the public John William Carter was fined £5 and costs. The magistrate comma tiled strongly on the seriousness of offences of this nature.
